An Apology...
The comment was up for three days before I decided to take it down at namely because it contained confidential information that I was not sure the anonymous commenter was authorized to release.
That being said, The events of the past few months have left me realizing that yes, I have made some mistakes and, while it's obvious that I am not the only person blogging and engaging in disagreements with traditional political powers, I do readily admit the mistakes I have made. My mistakes were born of a passionate desire to help the left...My twenty years on the left is, I hope, a good enough example of proof of that. Also, while I acknowledge them, I do feel that m y errors are no worse than some of the other mistakes people have made either. Suffice to say I am reaching out to those who I feel I owe an apology to. I do hope they can forgive me for what got out of hand.
I think some of this tied to the fact that I am not involved in a partisan campaign. Sure, my blog exposes more hypocritical GOPers than Democrats, but I've always said that says more about the GOP than it does about me. As a lifelong Democrat, however, I will continue to work hard for the left, as I have done ever since I was a student campaign manager for a successful state senate campaign.
I never got involved in this as a business, and I've learned that it's quite a cutthroat one at that. I have decided to modify how blogACTIVE works, focusing more on the work and the importance of exposing hypocrites in the government. In return, I as for your support in accepting my apology and moving forward. I am sorry for how this situation has ended up. I take ownership for the mistakes I have made and I do apologize. What more than that I can say, I am not aware.
