ON DIRELAND: ARNIE DENIES HIS GAY PAST WITH MARRIAGE VETO

Doug Ireland does a great job of explaining Arnie's stint as a same-sexer.
Governing is tough business. Even tougher when a politician has to choose between what is right and what is wrong...Too bad Arnie did the wrong thing in a shameless effort to win reelection.
This of course is not much of a surprise. After all, Arnie's use of gay baiting is well documented. Could anything be more homophobic than his elevation of "girly-man" into the public discourse? (Interesting considering that he married someone who is actually butcher than he is.)
Decades from now, when history is codified, the minor extensions of California's civil rights that he signed as cover to veto the nation's first legislatively approved marriage equality bill, will not be included.
This, my friends is not the first time that an elected official has used gay people to win votes. It's rather obvious that Arnie's Austrian past has had more of an influence than he ever let on to.
There's no TAKE ACTION here, the historians will take care of that.
