Activists poised to out chair of NY State Assembly Judiciary Committee
According to today's New York Post, New York based activists are poised to 'out' a New York Assembly member who is in a powerful position to move the state's marriage equality bill forward.

Click to enlargeAlthough not disclosed in the Post, BlogActive has learned that the targeted member of the Assembly is Brooklyn Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein (D). The same activists have taken an ad in New York's Gay City News pressuring Weinstein and others on the committee to support marriage equality. The advertisement does not identify Weinstein as closeted. Numerous activists and political sources in calls and emails with BlogActive have confirmed that Weinstein is the Assemblywoman mentioned in the New York Post item.
With just weeks to go in the Assembly session, the bill, supported by NY Governor Elliott Spitzer, is in danger of dying. The activists are calling upon individuals to call Weinstein's office.
