Thanks, Michael
A fellow blogger, Michael Crawford of Bloggernista, gave me a "Thinking Blogger" award. I'm usually skeptical of awards on blogs, as they seem more about generating votes than awarding quality writing. This award is a bit different. You "win" one when another blog decides you make them think. In turn, once you receive a Thinking Blogger award, you are encouraged to share five other blogs that make you think.
Like Michael's list, my list skews toward gay sites...not entirely, but mostly. The rules of the award are pretty simple:1. If, and only if you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think. Here's my list of five blogs that make me think (in alpha order, of course):
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.
Culture Kitchen - Liza's spot (and a host of other bloggers) give interesting commentary on things political...and everything else.
Pam's House Blend - I'm gay. I'm progressive. Enough said.
Rod 2.0 - Rod McCullom has done the MSM thing (he was a producer at NBC and ABC News), he's written cover stories for the Advocate, and he has a killer blog at Rod 2.0. Look to Rod to provide insightful commentary on the '08 election. Rod wrote "Behind the Friendly Faces" an Advocate cover story on Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama.
Scholars and Rogues - It's an interesting mix of posters in a community blog format. The bloggers are brilliant and Nick has some really great cartoons.
Suburban Guerrilla - Susie Madrak puts a new twist on liberal politics. Her outsiders week this week will bring other voices to the site. Look for my guest post there later in the week.
