The Ed Show Video
Marriage, Prop 8 and the Obama Administration's failure to address issues of importance to the LGBT community were on the agenda at The Ed Show last night. I got a few good points in what was a short appearance.
First off was Prop 8 and marriage. I expressed how the issue crosses ideological beliefs and my concerns over Ted Olson. We need to watch him like a hawk. Has Ted Olson seen the light like other past ultra-right wing homophobes Brock and Sully? Or is he a stealth, shrewd manipulator who wants to set us back decades in our struggle for equality (see Goodling. Monica)? I'm hoping for the former. I hope we are prepared for the latter.
We also chatted briefly about the President and the protest he faced last night outside a Beverly Hills hotel. The candidate who always included us in his speeches, doesn't care about us as President. The Harvard Law graduate, the first black editor the Harvard Law Review and a Constitutional law professor and he doesn't have an opinion on whether the right to marriage is covered under the equal protections of our country? Either he is lying or Gibbs is.
Enjoy the clip.
