A Halloween joke? No, but close

What do you get when you add these items together?:
  • An SUV
  • A cemetery
  • Halloween week
  • Sex toys
  • An 18-year old hooker
  • A married Republican politician
Before you guess... let me tell you, this is not a joke, it's news.

If you guessed an official in South Carolina, you win! Apparently, South Carolina has more kinky sex than anywhere else in America.

Police: SC state attorney caught with stripper:
COLUMBIA, S.C. — A deputy assistant attorney general who said he was on his lunch break when an officer found him with a stripper and sex toys in his sport utility vehicle has been fired, his boss said Wednesday.

Roland Corning, 66, a former state legislator, was in a secluded part of a downtown cemetery when an officer spotted him Monday, according to a police report obtained by The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act.
My favorite part:
He then searched the SUV, where he found a Viagra pill and several sex toys, items Corning said he always kept with him, "just in case," according to the report.
"Just in case"? Just in case you happen to find yourself in your SUV inside a cemetery with an 18-year old stripper with you?

Compared to this, hiking the Appalachian Trail sounds so boring.

And what good is a political scandal without a good old-fashioned cover-up?
A cemetery sex scandal involving a top lieutenant to S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster deepened Tuesday, as both the City of Columbia and the Attorney General’s office appear to have been involved in a coordinated effort to cover-up the incident.

First, and most damaging, it was revealed that the Columbia police officer who apprehended Assistant Deputy Attorney General Roland S. Corning on suspicion of solicitation – and then let him go without being charged – is married to one of Corning’s co-workers in the Attorney General’s office.

Officer Mike Wines, who busted Corning with a prostitute in Columbia’s Elmwood Cemetery Monday afternoon, is married to Megan Wines – who works with Corning in McMaster’s office.
