A powerful former member of the Michigan Senate was arrested for recruiting underage teens for immoral purposes and gross indecency between males. This was no slouch, this guy was the Senate Majority Floor Leader. This, I am sure will come as no shock, he’s a Republican:
Phil Arthurhultz, 63, was in the Ingham County Jail on a bond of $150,000 facing felony charges of two counts of accosting children for immoral purposes, two counts of enticing a female under the age of 16 for immoral purposes, gross indecency between males and interfering with witnesses, according to media reports.
Arthurhultz represented voters in Muskegon County for 16 years in the Michigan Legislature, leaving office at the end of 1994. The Whitehall resident then moved to Lansing to take a job on the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, of which he was chairman, and as a talk radio host in the Lansing area.
